Water World Poverty
Most of you probably know that Santa Cruz has a very high homeless population. Â Homeless downtown. Â Homeless up in the mountains.
But what you probably wouldn’t guess or expect is homeless people in the ocean!
This past summer at Lipert‘s birthday party we met this guy:
If I remember correctly, he made that boat himself.
He had floated down all the way from Sausalito.
We gave him some cold drinks and wished him luck.
“Where ya headed?”
“I kinda like it here in Santa Cruz…”
